Isla Negra, Casa Neruda & Pomaire: Poetry and Crafts
Get to know the Nobel Pablo Neruda house-museum and traditional Chilean crafts.
One of the favorite places of the poet Neruda!
On the coast of the central coast of Chile, we will visit a magical place full of history. We will begin our journey in the direction of black island, where we will visit Pablo Neruda's favorite house, currently converted into a museum and where his remains rest. Inside the museum you will be able to see his most precious personal collections such as figureheads, sailboats inside bottles and sea shells, connecting with the poet through +3,500 objects that are in the house.
We will continue the experience in Pomaire, a small town of pottery artisans. Around 10,000 inhabitants live in this place of uncertain origin and its main attraction is Roberto Bravo street, where clay (or clay) crafts are sold and typical Chilean dishes are offered, such as corn cake and pine pie.
With this tour you will be able to enjoy a memorable place, Neruda's favorite, and appreciate local crafts.
