Cerro Santa Lucía has been one of the most relevant points since the foundation of Santiago, on February 12, 1541. The monumental neoclassical entrance to the hill was completed in 1902 and harmonizes around a sculpture of the God Neptune, an entire architectural ensemble with curved staircases, pools, a large terrace and a triumphal arch topped by a dome.
The set constitutes a very evocative image of the lifestyle of Santiago's high society at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th.
